And other 8-bit style video from me. This one is not real 8-bit, like my System of a Down - Revenga. At least, it sounds cool! I love Depeche Mode, one of my favorite bands. Also, I love old-school, so mixing old-school with favorite music is always good!

Custom level for McPixel (Unfinished)

I'm an F1 fan, so I made a McPixel level inspired by F1. It focuses in Lotus Renault GP and Kimi Räikkönen. Simple, but fun. It is unfinished. Maybe I'll finish it. Maybe I'll send it to Sos Sosowski (creator of McPixel)

(Photoshop) TARDIS parking place

I was bored, I wasn't in a mood to create 3D models... So I was photo manipulating a little. Here is the parking place, only for the Doctor! The image was created in 10-15 minutes, searching for other images included. Nothing special, simple, basic stuff.

An other of my old stuffs. I remember how proud was I when I finished this. It wasn't that hard. The funny part was, the image itself wasn't that high quality, so I needed to make the edited parts worse quality too.
I so love the TV series, so I decided to make something about it. It had great influence on me. I really loved Lost, but the ending was a little bit disappointing, because there were so many unanswered questions. I felt it a little bit unfinished. *sadface*

I captured the screenshot from a Hungarian TV channel with DVB-S device. Nothing special. Then I started to change the numbers to the proper ones. Here is the result. Unfortunately, I lost the PSD file *sadface #2*.

Game plan is in my head...

Yay! Finally, I found out something! I got exact ideas for my game! I'm so happy with it!
Something about dreams...
Still so much to plan, and design. But it is more than nothing. I have at least one main character, one weapon,  many creepy enemies, lot of gameplay elements. I want to make this game a little bit weird and creepy. The main character won't be very strong. You'll need to play well to defeat the game. I promise you, it won't be easy! All the time you restart the game, it will be different. You will encounter the creatures of ??? and your ???. Can you survive?

Well, randomly generated levels will there be sure, but what else should you get? I have the exact style of graphics. It will have anime style characters, but it will be between realistic and cartoonish. There will be several rooms, and there will be so many different type of rooms. Different items will help you in your adventure. But be careful! Some of them will be dangerous for you! You'll learn slowly, what you can do and what you can't in ???.

It will be creepy... It will be dark... While you are sleeping...

(Game Dev) Let's play with... lighting cookies?!

Let's play with... lighting cookies?!

I tried out lighting cookies in Unity. It look really well, I really like it. I borrowed one texture from the game Amnesia - The Dark Descent. It also uses lighting cookies for nice shadows casted by windows for example. Will I use this feature? Why not! It looks pretty good! If I'm right, lighting cookie is a free feature of Unity game engine (the real time shadows casted by the character is pro only feature).

A little progress... errmmm, well, honestly, I made a little progress today, I was writing a simple third person camera script with object avoidance. That script is damn simple. And for the first time I share something useful for you here... oh wait, I have a Road modeling tutorial too... well, nevermind!

So, here is the script. Instructions are weirdly written within the script.

(Modeling / Images) Toguro 100% form from Yuu Yuu Hakusho

An other model to share. It is an older one. I made it in 3ds max, it is still not textured. I'm satisfied with this low-poly model.

The character is from the popular manga / anime Yuu Yuu Hakusho by Yoshihiro Togashi. Toguro is one of the villain of the show whose main ability is to manipulate his muscles. He has different forms from average human form to a huge, muscular monster. The model is based on his 100% form.

Üdv mindenkinek!

Nem szokásom, de most saját nyelvemen is írok a blogomra.
Ezt a blogot a játék fejlesztésnek szentelem. Tervben van egy saját játékom, illetve egy másik, amit csapatban készítek. A blog az előbbiről szól. Remélem, élvezni fogjátok, és amellett, hogy érdekes és hasznos információkat olvastok készülő projektemről, tanultok is belőle, hiszen lesznek olyan dolgok, melyekről részletesebben fogok írni.

(Game Dev) Information about the project / Help needed!

I'm working on my project and on an other project too. I was thinking a lot about the character style of my "Random RPG" project. Yeah, this is the name, I use for it now, "Random RPG". Because lot of things will be random. Random levels, random enemy spawning, random items, random secrets,... Sounds cool!

(Game Dev) Doorway generator is almost done...

I'm back. Doorway generation is almost done. But I had some stupid mistakes in the code that I fixed. First of all, the generator made a mirrored dungeon. I was sure about that Unity's z-coordinates increases downwards, but it is exactly the opposite. (silly me) So when I was checking for the doors I was looking like a stupid, why I get those weird numbers.

(Game Dev) How a simple room looks like

The basic idea of the rooms is simple: We have a prefab that contains the floor, top, walls and the walls with doorway. Everything is placed precisely, so the connection between rooms are seamless (tested, worked). If my generator founds out there is no neighbor at the south side, it will disable the southern doorway game object in Unity and it will enable the southern wall object.

(Game Dev) Simple dungeon generator algorithm

I was thinking about creating a simple level generating algorithm, similar to what is made for The Binding of Isaac. If you are not familiar to The Binding of Isaac, the levels consists from rooms placed on a grid. There are different paths and special rooms. The level design is non-linear, so the main character can choose different paths to find the boss room, which is the end of the level.

Who spent time watching my stuffs knows I'm a freelance modeler, webmaster and also a little bit a programmer. A very amateur programmer. On this blog I'll share my works. 3d models, tutorials, Unity based programs, and so on...

Hopefully, you'll enjoy it and I can teach you new stuffs. Some of the tutorials will contain complete projects too. Also I am planning something, but it is a secret! But you will like it! (I hope.)

Originally I wanted a website, I tried out some free hosts but they weren't very good. Unfortunately I can't afford a payed service. And if I could I would rent a cloud server. But the blog format will be OK too I think.
